Short Film Contest on Social Themes Extended Till March 15

For those who crave for exhibiting their creative skill, here is an opportunity to showcase one’s talent through short films. Coimbatore based Citizens’ Voice, Chennai based Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group, Anti-corruption movement, Farmers Association, AIM and Manuneethi Foundation is organising a short film contest for all age groups.

And the theme for the short films are: water conservation, Importance of consumer protection and right to information besides Role of individuals in promoting good governance by eradicating corruption.  The short films need to be of two minutes duration and it could be a cartoon, puppet show or a shadow film.
Any group not more than five or individual can take part in the short film contest. Eligibility will be upto 18 (copy of government certified age proof must be submitted) and above 18 will be categorised as Group 2. Prize money of Rs 10,000, Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively will be given to selected short films as first, second and third for each group.
Special prizes will also be given in the form of country vegetables and fruits for 7 days and Khadi gift vouchers to seven persons.Participation certificates will be distributed to all contestants. The short films selected in the first three stages will be published on social media, television and in magazines to disseminate awareness among the people.
Last date for submitting short films is March 15, 2021 while announcement of winners will be made on March 22 during World Water Day. Distribution of awards and certificates will be announced later.
