In continuation to our previous article on virtual connect and relationship, would like to add one more important aspects on career. These days\u2019 youngsters are fascinated by technology and machines. They love to interact and work with machines only. This is so evident with people working for creating online videos, memes, credit points, pay for clicks, order management (door service), referral link, active in social media, online feedback, star ratings and so on.
\nThey prefer to work with machines than people. They feel working with people is too tiring, practical job is demanding and requires our physical presence. When in physical job they ask questions, criticize for mistakes, need to be on time, cant work at our own space, pace and time, travel and responsible for our words and actions. Moreover, we don\u2019t want to be accountable for something and not ready to take commitment for anything. Such is the mindset of our youngsters.
\nWhatever they mentioned as pain in physical job it\u2019s absolutely present in online jobs. For instance, need to be on time i.e in online, they have to do the postings based on objective, country, target population and active client engagement time. It\u2019s the same in physical job too. It\u2019s a perspective that matters not the role played. There is a one major difference between online and offline jobs. The only loser in the former is individual whereas in the later it\u2019s a group.
\nWorking with people is a cyclic process. It starts with a person and ends with the same person. Each one is responsible and accountable for their words and actions. Right from ground level employee to top management. When a person understands the process and its impact on individual and business then they will feel the importance of their role in the job.
\nMost of the time, they see job as an individual affair and not as a family members. If one member in the family gets affected or falls sick it affects the whole family. The ecosystem gets disturbed till the person gets back to normal state. Similarly, if one person in the job takes off with out informing the concerned person, the whole process gets disturbed for sometime and revived in a while. They feel my absence doesn\u2019t matter and won\u2019t be felt at all. It\u2019s just their thought.
\nFor instance, if a security didn\u2019t turn up to office without information because he feels that his absence doesn\u2019t matter. In reality, his absence is felt by everyone right from entering and leaving the gate. It\u2019s just that people didn\u2019t express, giving benefits of doubt or accommodating his leave as genuine and welcoming him the next day with a great smile. In online jobs, your absence doesn\u2019t even been noticed due to heavy traffic and lack of human connect. We have to give an entry and exist voluntarily listening to machine voice saying that welcome back to work after so many days. Happy to see you again.
\nUltimately, youngsters need to understand that being with people is life. The live interaction with people, concern for each other, helping individual to grow intellectually, emotional support and physical presence makes much difference in everyone\u2019s life. Need to take criticism as constructive, focus on growth, contribute for society and love and respect each other\u2019s value in life.
\nAny job is a job. Be it online or offline. Both have its advantages and limitations. Choose a career that helps to grow intellectually, nurture thoughts and skills, explore opportunities, contribute for development and productive engagement. Eventually, the career you choose now should make you feel happy and satisfied few years down the line.
