Their maiden flight experience accompanied by leading luminaries from Chennai made them cheerful as they landed Coimbatore airport on Friday morning. And they were the under privileged children drawn from Seers Girls Home, Sevalaya, Anandam, CHES besides students from the community including visually challenged and Thirunangai friend, who flew from Chennai on a day\u2019s trip to the textile city.
\nThanks to Raindropss, the youth based organisation which conceived the idea jointly with VGP Ulaga Tamil Sangam and Coimbatore Park group of institutions. Interestingly, this is the second time in succession for Raindropss to organise this trip for the benefit of the underprivileged children.
\nPark Institutions CEO Anusha Ravi received the children and were later taken to the college for a progamme. Industrialist and chairman of VGP World Tamil Sangam V G Santhosam, Music Director A R Raihanah, Organic Scientist Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Playback singer Velmurugan and members of Raindropss accompanied the children and made their trip memorable. Children were served with delicious lunch and dinner by the iconic Hotel Annapoorna. The flying experience will remain ever in their lifetime and get an exposure of an outside world. Raindropss believes that an excellent groom of children is a combination of knowing the world around them, exposure and to seed the good values. This initiative will ensure that these kids take back the inspiring values and cherish able memories for their lifetime.
\nAccording to Raindropss founder and creative head Aravind Jayabal, the initiative not only provided children to visit Coimbatore and its iconic places but also fulfil their experience of first time flying on an aircraft, a memorable initiative towards making a positive impact on the young minds and lives of the under priviliged children.
\nThe children on the same day by train to Chennai as they took part at a beauty pageant of different kind, the first edition of Raindropss \u201cRamp for Cause\u201d presented by Naturals and Sathyabama University at VGP Golden Beach Resort. Children were groomed by the experts of Naturals Salon and styled by Style boutique to walk the ramp alongwith other children and eminent achievers across different genres.
