{"id":3204,"date":"2020-02-23T06:00:52","date_gmt":"2020-02-23T00:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kovaimetro.in\/?p=3204"},"modified":"2020-02-22T20:39:07","modified_gmt":"2020-02-22T15:09:07","slug":"vice-president-venkaiah-naidu-calls-for-peace-and-harmony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kovaimetro.in\/index.php\/2020\/02\/23\/3204\/","title":{"rendered":"Vice President Venkaiah Naidu Calls For Peace And Harmony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Inaugurates Maha Shivratri Fete @ Isha Yoga Centre<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>By SHEFA RAFI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Joy knew no bounds for devotees as they chanted hyms of \u2018Om Namah Shivaya\u2019 in praise of Lord Shiva at the annual Maha Shivratri fete which was celebrated with great zeal and zest at Isha Yoga Centre located in the sylvan locales at the foothills of Vellingiri Hills near Siruvani on the outskirts of the city.<br \/>\nIts was a cultural extravaganza of music, dance, meditation and sound and light show at the spacious grounds of Isha Yoga Centre.<br \/>\nDevotees including leading luminaries and celebrities from the tinsel town from nook and corner of the country besides foreign nations descended on the bustling spiritual centre of Isha Yoga for Maha Shivrati celebrations.<br \/>\nVice President of India Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the Maha Shivratri fete at the Isha Foundation in the presence of Sadhguru Jakki Vasudev.<br \/>\nCalling for peaceful and oneness, he said, \u201cWe may speak different languages, wear a different costume and pray to different Gods.<br \/>\nBut regardless of this diversity, we are, culturally, one and that is India. This feeling of Indianness has to be there in all. Peace is the prerequisite of progress for any nation.<br \/>\nAs Indians, we belong to a culture that sees the whole world as a family and no civilization other than our Indian civilization speaks about it.<br \/>\nWe want the wellbeing of everybody and we do not discriminate anybody since our aim is to live in peace and harmony\u201d.<br \/>\nIn view of the fete, a cattle show was organised at the venue wherein 23 indigenous breeds of cows and bulls were exhibited.<br \/>\nSome of these breeds include Kangayam, Gir, Ongole, Umbalacheri, Kangrich.
