Right Course Will Lead To Right Career

In continuation of the last article, we have seen career as one of the key determinants in life. Most of the time, people fail to see the difference between a career and a job. Career is an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person’s life with opportunities for progress. Job is a paid position of regular employment or a task or piece of work, especially one that is paid.
To be in the right career, it’s essential to study right course. Currently, children have flared up their choices to multiple opportunities. Parents wanted them to be all-rounder and super star. They are caught between these two thoughts, unable to figure out which could be the ideal career choice. However, media do play a significant role in providing lot of information on various colleges, courses and job opportunities. Also, includes parental influence and their experience, family profession, peer pressure and well – wishers note.
With lot of resources and available inputs, it becomes challenging to validate the quality of information. Now the question arises, how to go about it? Here comes, the self – analysis questionnaire. Understand your nature, know your personality, choose the course based on your area of interest or passion, gain knowledge and information through various sources like media, professionals, career sites, subject matter experts and seniors.
Ideally, you should decide the course based on real future market demands not on created market demands. Never decide academics based on someone’s interest, college brand name (IITs are topped because of the quality of student not by institution name) or campus placement opportunities.
It’s very imperative to choose the course based on individual’s caliber and interest. The key points to be considered in choosing the course are BRIGHT:
B – Be Bold to convey your area of interest, R – Get Ready to invest time in Research and Review details about the course of your interest, I – Choose the course with Involvement, G – Set realistic Goals and achieve, H – Develop a Hobby related to course and learn, T – Train yourself to acquire practical knowledge and skills.
Childrens are pillars of our Nation. Choosing the right course will help them in active learning and engagement. Nation’s growth depends on children’s education and their contribution towards upliftment of society.
Right Course will lead to Right Career. Wait for the next week to come.
