A Feather In The Cap of Race Course Police Station

Getting a recognition is really pep to the entire organisation. And words cannot express the amount of happiness people at the helm derive after winning the top honour. Yes, C2 Race Course police station in the city turned centre of attraction after it received the coveted Chief Minister’s Trophy during the R-Day fete in Chennai. City police chief alongwith Inspector Sakthivel received the award from Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisami.
Kudos to City Police Commissioner Sumit Saran and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr L Balaji Saravanan and the entire team for straining their nerves in making the station numero uno in state thru’ innovative measures like pleasant environment and courteous service. Notably, Race Course police station topped the list scoring 4212 points to get the top honour as TN’s best station.
It is interesting to note that the police station christened as B4 during the British era got a facelift in 2015 when the existing structure was demolished and a new building constructed with all modern facilities including a reception at the entrance, waiting hall, library, gym, creche, lactation room and ramp for differently-abled, conference hall, investigation enclosures besides surveillance system. And the station was renamed as C2 Race Course police station with law & order, crime and traffic wing located at the police complex. Inspector Sakthivel is now the station house officer.
Complimenting the city police chief for winning laurels, Koma Natarajan, a home-maker writes to say that the police personnel are definitely doing yeomen service. Moreover, the police station presents a corporate look with a wonderful ambience. Its quite approachable as the police station personnel are public-friendly. Kovai Metro congratulates City Police Commissioner and DCP for helping Race Course police station add a jewel in its crown.
